Week Four as a Full-time Freelancer

I’m starting my fourth week as a full-time freelancer, and so far, it’s been awesome. I love that I can sit down at my desk and start the day when I’m ready, I don’t have to interrupt work for meetings, commuting and general office malaise. Instead I pause for home cooked lunches, bike loops around Prospect Park and the occasional phone consultation. The only bad thing is that it’s hard to stop working for non-essential things, and sometimes I find myself glued to my computer for over twelve hours a day. That’s just not right. So I’m working on creating clearer boundaries between home and work. Not easy, but it’ll happen. In the meantime, hell yeah for not eating meals out of tupperware containers and an even bigger hell yeah for working on my own terms!
